Sestante – Osteria di Mare is a fish specialised restaurant in Venice. It was born in 2013 inspired by the long nautical traditions of the city. As a matter of fact, the sextant is a tool used by sailors to measure the elevation corner of a celestial object above the horizon. Throughout the whole history that links Venice to the sea, the great seamen from the past used an old version of this tool to define the route and to reach the far East.

HOSPITALITY AND VENETIAN SOUL
A modern and essential design, with accurately chosen furniture elements. The style of Sestante recall the lagoon territory, Venice and its sailing tradition. An example is the restaurant back wall made of bricks and oak boards obtained from the bricole, traditional structures used to show the way on the lagoon waters. Our environment is warm, welcoming and authentic: we happily host for lunch and dinner tourists but also a lot of Venetians.
